EMC Tests — Smart Group G4 Electromagnetic Compatibility
EMC Tests
Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing
All Smart Group G4 products undergo comprehensive electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing to ensure they operate reliably without causing or suffering from electromagnetic interference.
What is EMC Testing?
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing verifies that electronic products do not emit electromagnetic interference above permitted levels (emissions testing) and can operate correctly in the presence of electromagnetic interference from other sources (immunity testing).
Emissions Testing
Smart G4 products are tested for conducted and radiated emissions to ensure they comply with limits set by CE (CISPR 32), FCC Part 15, and other regional standards. This protects other equipment from interference caused by Smart G4 devices.
Immunity Testing
Smart G4 products are tested for immunity to electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical fast transients (EFT), surge, conducted RF, radiated RF, and power frequency magnetic fields — ensuring reliable operation in real-world building environments.
Test Facilities
All EMC testing is conducted at accredited third-party test laboratories. Full EMC test reports are available for all Smart G4 products and can be provided to customers on request.
